In recent years, the Ministry of Transport has continuously strengthened the role of ports in the Yangtze River Delta as a comprehensive hub and supported regional economic and social development, and has continued to promote the optimization, rational division of labor, and dislocation development of ports in the Yangtze River Delta. Ningbo Zhoushan Port's cargo throughput and Shanghai port's container throughput have ranked first in the world for many years in a row.
