Owendo Newport officially put into use
According to Gabon's "Solidarity", the new port of Owendo, located south of Libreville, was established by Gabon Special Economic Zone Port Co., Ltd. for 181 billion Chinese francs (about 300 million US dollars).
The port has a total length of 690 meters, has 3 cranes, 8 granaries that can store 10,000 tons of grain, 5 oil storage tanks that can store 8,000 tons of palm oil, and a daily cargo storage site for VIP customers in special economic zones. . According to the person in charge of the port, Owendo New Port integrates modernity, practicality and efficiency into one. It can accommodate two ocean-going freighters at the same time, and its use will greatly increase Gabon's port throughput. The new port's transit fee is 25% lower than the existing port in Gabon, which will effectively reduce the import cost of Gabon and improve the living standards of Gabonese people.
