The regular container line from Dashan Port in South Korea to Xiamen Port in China opens
According to Yonhap News Agency, the government of Ruishan City, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea, reported on June 27 that China New Haifeng Container Transport Co., Ltd. (SITC), which operates the China-Southeast Asia route, added the Xiamen-Ruisan route to the existing route. The route passes through ports including Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Vietnam's Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh, Thailand's Laem Chabang Port, Indonesia's Jakarta, etc., and calls at Ruishan Port every Monday as a regular container route. Ruishan City expects that after opening the Xiamen route, Dashan Port will attract more than 8,000 TEU container cargoes every year. Ruishan also plans to strengthen cooperation with cargo owners and shipping companies, and actively attract export companies to use Dashan Port. In order to facilitate the import and export of containers, container repair and cleaning related service companies will also be attracted to enter Dashan Port. The Mayor of Ruishan, Li Wanxie, said that the Dashan Port of Ruishan is the closest to China among the 31 trading ports in South Korea. Ruishan City will build Dashan Port into the "New Central Huanghai Circle Central Harbor" by opening international passenger liners, attracting container cargo, and cultivating marine leisure and sports industries.
